Job Description:

  • Draw blood
  • Placing orders in our EMR
  • Prep the patient for blood draw
  • Use centrifuge 
  • Log all samples
  • Preform finger sticks for coumadin clinic
  • Scheduling appointments for coumadin clinic
  • Call patient instructions from coumadin clinic


Experience Required:

  • 1 year experience in medical field with phlebotomy skills
  • Highschool Diploma or GED

Medical Billing Specialist Full-Time

Hours: M-F 8am-4:30pm


Job Description:

  • The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for providing full medical billing services to a variety of clients within the healthcare industry including nursing facilities. They will handle third party reimbursement and resolve payment issues after the claim is submitted.
  • Follow up with insurance companies via telephone and conduct data entry of information into the system
  • Gather missing information and enter insurance status updates into the system and to the client
  • Review and evaluate medical and related documentation to ensure diagnostic and procedural codes accurately reflect and support the patient encounter and comply with regulatory standards
  • Stay abreast of current medical coding and billing issues, trends and changes in the laws and regulations in order to make recommendations for changes in policies and procedures
  • Investigate, manage and resolve medical claims in accordance with established requirements and procedures
  • Review all medical invoices for unassigned claims and approve appropriate invoices for payment
  • Consistently follow up on unpaid claims using monthly aging reports, Process claims and explanation of benefits for current and future managed care and specialty insurance contracts
  • Ensure claims meet regulatory requirements and information is complete and accurate for insurance submission
  • Audit accounts and investigate claims that have been returned, denied or have balance inaccuracies
  • Provide timely and high quality service to meet and exceed client expectations and perform research on projects as needed, Take initiative to understand and apply available resources and appropriate guidance and policies
  • Organize facts, analyze and interpret information according to client circumstances


Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Associate's degree and medical billing certification a plus
  • 2+ years' experience in medical/insurance billing or other administrative function
  • Experience navigating electronical and paper medical record systems
  • Preferred Knowledge and understanding of insurance contracting, Medicare and Medicaid a plus, Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products and technology-savvy individual, Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail
  • Multitasker with the ability to prioritize work accordingly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong client service focus, Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to research and analyze data and resolve issues; read and interpret medical procedures and terminology,
  • Ability to work autonomously under the pressure of tight deadlines and multiple priorities
